Photo: @stevewinterphoto / I photographed this #leopard in South Africa’s Sabi Sands Reserve while on assignment for my most recent #assignment for National Geographic magazine. This was one of the many outtakes from the story that ran in the December 2015 issue titled Learning to Live With Leopards. Of all the big cats leopards are the most adaptable and also the most persecuted. My goal with this assignment was to show that adaptability as well as what it means for the people who share their backyards with these marvelous creatures.
